Въ четвергъ 16 іюля, епархіальное торжество свв. Царственныхъ мучениковъ началось въ св. Георгіевскомъ храмѣ. Въ 17:45 ч., подъ колокольнымъ звономъ встрѣтили мощи свв. Царственныхъ мучениковъ, послѣ котораго началось Всенощное бдѣніе. Во время полиелея состоялось всенародное пѣніе акаѳиста св. царю-мученику Николаю. Сборный хоръ пѣвчихъ со всей епархіи, подъ управленіемъ чт. Нектарія, прекрасно пѣлъ Всенощную, пока священники исповѣдовали многочисленное количество вѣрующихъ.

Въ слѣдующее утро, въ самый день праздника, духовенство Восточно-Американской епархіи собралось для празднованія памяти свв. Царственныхъ мучениковъ. Въ 9:30 ч. состоялась встрѣча викарія Восточно-Американской епархіи епископа Манхеттенскаго Іеронима, послѣ чего сразу началась Божественная литургія. Большое количество богомольцевъ, пришедшихъ помолиться свв. Страстотерпцамъ, заполнило весь нашъ храмъ. Богослуженіе прошло съ особымъ подъемомъ и благолѣпіемъ. Ради многочисленности причастниковъ, Святые Дары преподавались изъ двухъ Чашъ. По окончаніи Литургіи, былъ совершенъ крестный ходъ вокругъ храма, при концѣ котораго состоялось освященіе Его Преосвященствомъ казачьихъ регалій и оружія, готовящихся къ возвращенію въ г. Екатеринодаръ изъ казачьяго музея, сохранившаго эти историческія цѣнности уже болѣе 70 лѣтъ. Послѣ цѣлованія креста, вѣрующимъ раздавали иконы свв. On Thursday, July 16, at St. George’s Church, the Diocesan feast of the Holy Royal Martyrs began. At 5:45 PM, to the sound of pealing bells, the faithful greeted the relics of the Holy Royal Martyrs, after which began the All-Night Vigil. During the Polyeleos, the singing of the akathist to the Holy Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II commenced; a joint choir, composed of singers from across the Diocese and under the direction of Reader Nektary, beautifully adorned the Vigil while the priests confessed a great number of the faithful.

The following morning, on the very day of the feast, the clergy of the Eastern American Diocese gathered to celebrate the memory of the Holy Royal Martyrs. At 9:30 AM, the clergy greeted the Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, after which the Divine Liturgy began. A great many worshippers, coming to pray to the Holy Passion-Bearers, filled our entire church. The divine services proceeded in a spirit of great enthusiasm and splendor. Due to the multitudinosity of believers, the Holy Gifts were brought forth in two Chalices. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a procession around the church began, at the end of which took place the blessing by His Grace of the Cossack regalia and arms, which are being prepared for return to the city of Yekaterinodar from the Kuban Cossack museum, where these priceless cultural artifacts had been preserved for over 70 years. After the kissing of the Cross, the faithful were given icons of the Holy Royal Martyrs, and were then invited outside where, under a large canopy, a bountiful luncheon was provided. Въ воскресенье 12го iюля, въ день праздника святыхъ Первоверховныхъ Апостоловъ Петра и Павла, въ Свято-Николаевскомъ Храмѣ была отслужена Божественная литургiя. Литургiю возглавилъ прот. Александръ Голубовъ (клирикъ св. Николаевскаго Патрiаршаго Собора въ Нью-Iоркѣ) въ сослуженiи дiак. Леонида, при стеченiи многихъ богомольцевъ. По окончанiи службы, о. Леонидъ поздравилъ всѣхъ именинниковъ отъ имени о. настоятеля, который въ этотъ день служилъ въ лѣтнемъ лагерѣ ОРЮР. Отецъ Сергiй благополучно вернулся домой въ воскресенье вечеромъ, уже закончивъ свою должность въ лагерѣ на сей годъ. Нажмите здѣсь для фотографiй.

On Sunday, July 12th, on the feast day of the Holy Apostles Peter & Paul, the Divine Liturgy was served in St. Nicholas Church. Archpriest Alexander Golubov (St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral, NYC) led the divine services along with Deacon Leonid. At the end of the service, Fr. Leonid congratulated all the Peters and Pauls of the parish on behalf of the rector, who was serving in SGPA summer camp. On Sunday evening, Fr. Serge returned home after completing his duties as spiritual counselor in the camp. Click here for photographs.

Въ пятницу 3-го iюля, члены Св. Николаевскаго фонда приняли участiе въ Краснобреговскомъ городскомъ празднованiе американскаго Дня независимости. Во время фестиваля, фондъ продавалъ русскiе матрешки, подарки, и сувениры на пользу реставрацiи Св. Николаевскаго храма. Губернаторъ штата Нью-Джерси, Джонъ Корзайнъ, и градоначальникъ Краснобрегово, Паскуалъ Менна, встрѣтились съ предсѣдателемъ фонда дiак. Леонидомъ во время фестиваля. О. Леонидъ поздравилъ ихъ съ нацiональнымъ праздникомъ и разсказалъ губернатору о нашемъ приходѣ и о св. Николаевскомъ фондѣ. Нажмите здѣсь для фотографiй.

July 4th, 2009
On Friday, July 3rd, members of the St. Nicholas Foundation participated in the Red Bank Independence Day Celebration. A vending booth was set up to sell Russian souvenirs to benefit the renovation of St. Nicholas Church. Governor Jon Corzine and Mayor Pasquale Menna met with foundation chairman Deacon Leonid, who congratulated them with the national holiday. Fr. Leonid also gave the governor an introduction to the Russian Orthodox Community in Red Bank and explained the functions of the foundation. Click here for photos.

Во вторникъ 30-го iюня, состоялось очередное засѣданiе церковно-приходского совѣта св. Николаевскаго храма съ участiемъ старосты и старшой сестры св. Георгiевскаго храма, Iоанна и Валентины Римакисъ. Главная цѣль засѣданiя - подготовка къ торжеству свв. Царственныхъ мучениковъ, которое состоится 16-го и 17-го iюля с.г. Члены совѣта также обсудили рядъ благотворительныхъ мѣропрiятiй на вторую половину 2009 г.

On Tuesday, June 30, a regular meeting of the parish council of St. Nicholas Church was held; in attendance were the warden and head sister of St. George's Church, Mr. & Mrs. John Rimakis. The principal goal of the meeting was to discuss and prepare for the feast of the Holy Royal Martyrs, which is to take place on July 16-17 of this year. Council members also discussed a series of benevolent events for the second half of 2009.

1 іюля 2009 г. - Открытіе лѣтняго лагеря ОРЮР
Въ воскресенье 28 іюня, въ горахъ сѣвернаго Нью-Іорка, открылся лѣтній лагерь Организаціи росскійскихъ юныхъ развѣдчиковъ, дружина „Царское село“. Лагерь посѣщаютъ болѣе 120 мальчиковъ и дѣвушекъ (отъ 8 до 18 лѣтъ), которые проводятъ весь мѣсяцъ іюль въ лѣсу, спя въ палаткахъ и купаясь въ мѣстномъ озерѣ Сакандага. Но главная цѣль организаціи – воспитаніе молодежи въ православной, русскоязычной, братской средѣ. Отецъ Сергій уже восемь лѣтъ служитъ духовнымъ руководителемъ дружины. Въ воскресенье, была отслужена Божественная литургія въ лагерной часовнѣ св. великомуч. Георгія, послѣ котораго о. Сергій освятилъ подлагеря. Нажмите здѣсь для фотографій.

July 1, 2009 - The Opening of SGPA Summer Camp
On Sunday, June 28, in the hills of upstate New York, the summer camp of St. George Pathfinders of America, “Tsarskoe Selo” Druzhina (chapter), opened. The camp is attended by over 120 boys and girls (8 to 18 years of age), who spend the entire month of July in the woods, sleeping in tents and swimming in nearby Lake Sacandaga. The principal goal of the organization, however, is the extracurricular upbringing of children in an Orthodox, Russian-speaking, brotherly atmosphere. Father Serge has served as the Druzhina’s spiritual father for eight years. On Sunday, a Divine Liturgy was served in the camp’s St. George chapel. Following the Liturgy, Fr.
